Head of Innovation and Partnerships, Technology Enabled Care James Lampert qualified as an occupational therapist in 1996. Until 2008, he worked mainly in community-based adult social care equipment and adaptations, for several years also covering children and families with wheelchair and seating assessments. During this period, James spent 9 months in Accident and Emergency and 3 years as a team manager in adult social care. He was also involved in independent practice assessments (long-term insurance claims and medico-legal). James then spent 4 years in project management roles on such projects as personalisation, health and social care integration, and efficiency. Between 2012 and 2018, he was involved with commissioning ICES, telecare, care homes, carers services, local Healthwatch and outcome-based homecare. His special clinical interest areas are technology enabled care, DFG/adaptations and equipment. Outside work, James is a Volunteer Event Support Ambassador and is part of local core organising team for Parkrun UK (free, weekly community walk, jog, run and volunteer events enhancing health and happiness).
